Swiss soprano Regula M\u00fchlemann was raised in Lucerne where she studied at the Conservatory of Lucerne with Prof. Barbara Locher. She records exclusively for Sony Classical. Her debut recording \u201cMozart Arias\u201d was released in October 2016, her second album \u201cCleopatra\u201d in September 2017.<\/p>\n

The 17\/18 season begins with Ms. M\u00fchlemann returning to Geneva and making her debut as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro<\/strong><\/em>) at Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve, before heading to Naples performing Blonde (The abduction from the Seraglio<\/strong><\/em>) at the Teatro San Carlo. She is also cast as Rosina in Mozart\u2019s La finta semplice<\/strong><\/em> in Birmingham and at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. On the concert stage, she sings performances of Haydn\u2019s The Seasons<\/strong><\/em> under the direction of Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin in Philadelphia, Mozart\u2019s Die Schuldigkeit des ersten Gebots<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0with the M\u00fcnchner Rundfunkorchester at Prinzregententheater in Munich, Mozart\u2019s c-Minor Mass<\/strong><\/em> in Winterthur, Fribourg and at KKL in Lucerne. Ms. M\u00fchlemann sings Mahler\u2019s Symphony No 4<\/strong><\/em> with Staatskapelle Dresden, under the baton of Robin Ticciati. Further concerts and recitals take her to M\u00dcPA Budapest (The Creation<\/strong><\/em>), Vevey, Bellmund, Bremen, Hamburg, Stuttgart, D\u00fcsseldorf, St. Gallen and Basel. Regula M\u00fchlemann performs the programme of her second record \u201cCleopatra\u201d in Munich, Kufstein and Ludwigsburg. With Giovanni Antonini and the Kammerorchester Basel she performs Marzelline in a concert version of Fidelio<\/strong><\/em>. Furthermore, she sings Papagena (The Magic Flute<\/strong><\/em>) at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden directed by Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin.<\/p>\n

Regula M\u00fchlemann has already sung at the Zurich Opera House performing Giannetta in L’ Elisir d’amore<\/strong><\/em> and Despina in Cos\u00ec fan tutte<\/strong><\/em> at the Teatro la Fenice in Venice, performed Nanetta, Papagena and Elisa at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, made her debut at the Salzburg Festival in 2012, singing the young Papagena in Peter von Winter\u2019s opera Das Labyrinth<\/strong><\/em> and sang Serpetta in Hans Neuenfels’s new production of La finta giardiniera<\/strong><\/em> at the Berlin Staatsoper. She made her house debut with the Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve in the 2012\/13 season. Regula M\u00fchlemann is also a sought after concert singer. She regularly performs in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Italy. As a regular guest at Lucerne Festival she has performed amongst others Rossini\u2019s Petite Messe<\/strong> Solenelle<\/strong><\/em> with the Bayerische Rundfunk. Regula M\u00fchlemann works with renowned conductors such as Nello Santi, Simon Rattle, Daniel Harding, Daniele Gatti, Pablo Heras-Casado and Ivor Bolton.<\/p>\n

Ms. M\u00fchlemann made her movie debut singing \u00c4nnchen in the feature film \u201cHunter\u2019s Bride\u201d, based on Weber\u2019s Freisch\u00fctz<\/strong><\/em>. The critically acclaimed movie was directed by Jens Neubert and featured Daniel Harding conducting the London Symphony Orchestra and is available on DVD and BluRay by Arthaus Musik.<\/p>\n
